How Long Does a Hydrogen Water Bottle Battery Last?
The HDRO Bottle 4.0 runs up to 40 hydrogen water cycles on one full charge, and a full charge takes 2 to 3 hours over USB. One cycle makes one bottle of hydrogen water, so how long a charge lasts in days depends on how many bottles you make.
How many days one charge lasts
| Bottles a day | One charge lasts up to |
|---|---|
| 1 | 40 days |
| 2 | 20 days |
| 3 | 12 days |
| 4 | 10 days |
Twenty cycles is the most you get from a full charge. Treat the table as a best case and plan to charge a little sooner.
How much water that is
The bottle holds 9.1 oz (270 ml).
Charging it
A USB charging cable comes in the box, and a full charge takes 2 to 3 hours. The box does not include a wall plug, so charge from a computer's USB port or a USB wall adapter you already own.
A few habits that help:
- Charge before a trip, not on the day the battery runs out.
- Keep the bottle out of hot cars and direct sun. Heat is hard on any rechargeable battery.
- Use the cable that came with the bottle.
How to compare battery claims between bottles
Brands state battery life in different ways, so check what each figure counts before you compare them:
- Cycles or minutes? A cycle count tells you how many bottles you get. A runtime in minutes does not, unless you also know how long one cycle takes.
- "Up to" or typical? "Up to" is the maximum on a full charge.
- At what hydrogen level? A cycle count means little if you do not know how much hydrogen each cycle makes. For the HDRO Bottle 4.0 that is up to 6.0 ppm.
- How long to recharge, and with what? Check the charge time and whether a cable is in the box.
Is a portable bottle the right choice?
A countertop hydrogen machine plugs into the wall and never needs charging, but it stays in your kitchen. A rechargeable bottle goes with you to work, the gym or a hotel room, and at two or three bottles a day, up to 40 cycles means charging about once every two weeks.
The HDRO Bottle 4.0 is an SPE/PEM hydrogen water bottle made of borosilicate glass with a stainless steel base and lid. It produces up to 6.0 ppm of dissolved hydrogen and has no filters or replacement parts to buy. More answers are in our FAQ.
